IAFIE and IAFIE-EC Virtual Conference, a great success!

Virtual Conference on Emerging Intelligence Analysis Challenges.

Sabrina Magris, École Universitaire Internationale (which hosted the conference) and Barry Zulauf, President, IAFIE kicked off the six-hour session with a video walking tour of Treviso, Italy where IAFIE will hold its next in-person conference on 19-22 June 2022. They provided the introductory remarks and Irena Chiru, President, IAFIE-Europe Chapter concluded the conference with some insightful closing comments.

The keynote speaker H.E. Ambassador Yasmine Gouédard, Director of the Intelligence College in Europe’s Permanent Secretariat described the mission and vision of the newly formed College.

Over 150 people from 22 Countries attended the conference that addressed a broad range of topics in 5 panels:

Panel 2. Developing a Strategic Cyber Analysis Capability

Panel 3. Growing Threat of Violent Extremism, Terrorism & Insurgency

Panel 4. Optimizing Virtual Training and Education

Panel 5. Leveraging Apps to Enhance the Virtual Learning Experience

The 11 presenters, representing seven countries (Albania, Australia, Canada, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United States) provided useful cross-national perspectives on each of the topics.
